If You See The Wonder

until I am a wife :)

Today was a good day.

I got my wedding dress.

And I got my ring back.

And I walked into our reception hall and it felt like I was at Cinderella’s Ball.

And I did a lot of other wedding planning that was all a blur because all I kept thinking about was “I’m going to look like a princess!”

aaaaaand now I have to go read a book for school.

BAH! Peoples. 10 business days to size a ring? Really? Lame. I feel like I’m pretending to be engaged… “no really, I actually am engaged, I just don’t have the ring right now… No, my finace isn’t here, he lives in another province…”

So, the past couple of weeks, I have had a lot to do and I haven’t been very diligent in doing it. In the next few days, I need to:

-finish my Plato reading from 2 weeks ago
-read for Children’s literature and write a reading response
-start (and hopefully finish) the first draft of my child lit paper
-pick topics for my Plato and Classics papers
-read for Hebrew Poetry and Wisdom
-laundry??? Haven’t done that in a while…
-write an article for work… man, I NEED to hurry up and finish that…
-mark some papers that will be handed in soon

ALSO I should be reading for this week’s Plato and Classics classes.

And I really want to go dress shopping. That is the most frustrating part. I can’t seem to be off the phone long enough to get some homework done, and then when I finally get off the phone, someone drops off another bridal magazine. Then I start looking things up online. Then I remember that I haven’t blogged in a while. Then people start having fights about Little Red and I HAVE to get involved, because really, LR and I are friends, and I’m not about to let someone tear my friend apart. Then it gets to be 2am and I realize I STILL haven’t read what I was planning to read last week, and I STILL haven’t finished my article I was planning on finishing Monday, and I STILL haven’t done any laundry so I am down to big baggy t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans with holes in them.

On the plus side, I booked the church and hotel for the wedding ceremony and reception today :)

I have been wanting to post this, but I had to wait until the family all heard. But now I can say…

I AM ENGAGED!! So exciting!!!

After 3 years, 4 months, and 10 days, Gary asked me to be his wife. Of course I said yes! Now comes the planning… along with the homework I already have… the papers I need to mark… the articles I need to write… thank goodness I only have 4 classes or I might keel over.

Today was a very full day - I laughed, I cried, I marked papers, and I practiced my signature. Gary was away all day so there was no planning to do, and I had to get at this stack of work in front of me. I thought it was hard to get my work done BEFORE this! Now I keep getting distracted by the rainbow on my finger :)

Anyway… back to marking…

I wonder what style of dress I should wear…
